Late 18th Century Chinese Walnut Altar Table ArtworkThis stunning table originated in China within the Qing Dynasty. It was handmade from walnut but also contains a thick elm top; making it a robust and reliable piece of furniture. It has one full length draw on the side and, despite the age, there are still traces of its original black lacquer. It has also been hand carved, showcasing simplistic designs along the bottom, which were common throughout China. Originally, it would have been used to hold
or a lovely piece of wall decor
which would have consisted of jewellery
The basket lid and first compartment can be removed
These specific cushions have a simple yet lovely blue and white tartan pattern on the front
