The design features the historic Damascus Roses pattern (Ward Al Sham) a motif originating from Ramla, where it appears on the thobes of Palestinian women. The hair band has been designed by Palestinian artist Ghenva Alkabra, who teaches and leads workshops sharing the art of Palestinian Tatreez.
