Tulip glass is first seen in Holmegaard Glasvrk's catalogue from 1867 and where they are offered for the last time in the catalogue from 1915. They are offered in at least six colours and with gilded decoration, which was offered at double the price, of which these are very rare today. This glass is manganese and painted with a border ala grecque, line at the foot and top in gold. The glass is mouth blown and with a polished pontil mark
