Kuhler, German-Amer., (1894-1977) ColorOffset Lithograph and Watercolor. 1930's 40's, ed. unknown, 11 3 8 x 13 7 8, signed and dedicated in pencil, on stiff buff wove paper. Waterstain to lower right margin corner. This print is related to the images found in "Portraits of the Iron Horse", a book on trains illustrated by Kuhler.
tape stains to upper corners well away from image as is usual for these editions

It is uncommon to find a pencil signed impression of this beautiful print by Farrer
and did not begin to draw until he was in his 50's
and a hint of Tamayo as well
Despite the condition issues a charming image with a Rackham like style
on "Hi -Art Artist Illustration Board"

As Barrer matured
I suspect that Hering experimented with this commericial technique and considered this an original print
but it is reflective of our times and culture
